E-Mail Message: Marty to Doc

Hey Doc!

Found myself with some free time, so I scooted over to the Nexus and found out how to work that "e-mail" stuff you told me about. This internet thing looks completely awesome. I can't wait for Hill Valley to catch up.

I'm doing all right back home. I'm living in the back of the Darkness Falls bar -- the owner, Roger, gives me a room and meals in exchange for me helping out around the place. It's not a bad gig, I guess. Still really miss home, but -- I still have no idea what to do. I've asked some of the Changeling customers, and half of them never even knew their fetches. The others say that -- confronting them didn't work too well. And the last thing I want is anybody getting hurt. . . .

I guess I can't complain overall. I've got a roof over my head and food provided, which was more than I had when I first arrived. I just -- really miss my old life. And my guitar. I gotta see about getting some money, buying a new one. . . .

Anyway, how are things in Chicago? Still crazy?

Marty

Hi Marty!

Isn't it though? The concept's been around for a while, but it appears the 90s really refined it for general use. I've grown to like it quite a lot, even though I don't get much chance to go on computers. I agree, our homeworld does need to catch up sooner rather than later.

I'm glad you're safe and okay at the moment. Though I know it must be tough, what with that other you and other me running around. I'm sure you'll figure something out, though. Keep me posted of all future developments, all right?

Crazier than usual, I'm afraid. The CLF had a protest march a couple of days ago. It turned into a major riot, and there were quite a few serious injuries. Trust me, I don't think you want to know the details. (Not that I know all of them -- I only heard this on the news.)

I've been keeping to the basement for the most part, though I've taken to sneaking into the lobby for fresh air every once in a while. It keeps me from feeling like the walls are closing in on me. Still attempting work on my time machine -- I've been raiding every spare nook and cranny I can for parts. It's very slow going, though -- the time circuit display panel prototype is barely started. I can't wait until these people are dealt with and I can go back to buying things from actual hardware stores.
